Bob Cargo
Network Director
North Georgia Church Planting Network

Bob is originally from Gadsden, Alabama, earned his B.A. from Samford University in Birmingham and his M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL. Bob has moved to Atlanta three times in this life. The first was as the Minister to Students of Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, then again in 1985 to plant Intown Community Church, and most recently in 2002 to join the staff of Perimeter Church. Bob now serves as Perimeter’s Director of Church Planting and as a member of its Teaching (Preaching) Team, as well as one of the leaders of the North Georgia Church Planting Network (CPN). He has served as a minister in the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America) for over 25 years, has been involved in planting three churches in places as diverse as the near north side Chicago, the northern DeKalb county region of Atlanta and the college town of Oxford, MS. He is married to the former Margaret Anne Ruff of Tupelo, Mississippi and they have two sons and two daughters. He enjoys strong coffee, sports, news, and a very eclectic taste in music.

The North Georgia CPN is a ministry of three PCA presbyteries in north Georgia, but thankfully includes many planters who are not in the PCA and it welcomes any and all who desire to be part of a Gospel centered church planting network. The CPN provides coaching, prayer support, supervision, community and training for church planters and church planting residents and interns. It is most easily “visible” in its monthly CPN Meetings on the second Tuesday of each month, 7:00 a.m. to noon at Christ Church Presbyterian in Buckhead.
