Tim Vaughn

Beginning with a B.A. from UNC-Charlotte and an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, Tim has served the last 37 years in various roles in the pastoral ministry – an International Mission Board/SBC church planter in Germany, the  church planting strategist for the IMB/SBC for all of Western Europe, a staff pastor in one of the largest SBC mega-churches in Georgia, and since 2006 the planter/pastor of Life Church of Athens.  Tim has a heart and a great appreciation for the whole Body of Christ – the local church, pastors, missionaries, and various forms of ministry, especially church planting and revitalization.

Currently, Tim is available as a church planting coach within the Greater Atlanta Baptist Network, mentors several planters/pastors independently, and still Skype-coaches some German national church planters/pastors.

Tim has been married to the former Kim Davis of Kannapolis, NC since 1980, they have 2 married daughters, 2 godly sons-in-law, and 2 small grandchildren. He REALLY loves a good Schnitzel, collecting sports memorabilia and antique toys, and just “hanging out”!
